Job Summary
Sr. Manager of Engineering to lead development of scalable software solutions for life science customers, collaborating with VP of Engineering, frontend/backend engineers, and product managers. Will prioritize features on the product roadmap, make critical architectural decisions, build data pipelines to feed machine learning algorithms, and oversee deployments and maintenance of web services. Requires guiding a team, strong technical communication, and a track record of delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Based in NYC and expected to work in person.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Django / Python
- Reasonable experience with React or similar frontend framework
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud provider
- Experience in full-stack web development, including front-end and back-end development
- Can help manage a team of external engineers
- Organized, manages complex workload well, and execution oriented
- Demonstrated leadership and capability to see projects through completion
- Effective technical communication skills to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Living in or willing to relocate to NYC to work in person
- Previous experience at early-stage startups (A plus)
- Experience in computer vision, data mining, or statistics (A plus)
