Job Summary
Manage the Outside Plant Engineering team by coordinating staffing, planning, and strategy to execute business initiatives. Direct daily operations including planning drawings, validating facility routes, and overseeing removal or rearrangement of overhead, underground lines, and conduits. Forecast traffic loads to determine new construction or rearrangements, develop project budgets, and conduct quality audits of third-party vendors. Coordinate with internal teams and government agencies for special construction projects while leading external troubleshooting for fiber cuts. Ensure conformance with engineering specifications, approve material orders, and implement robust electronic facilities records processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field, such as Engineering, Business or Construction
- Six (6) years of telecommunications engineering/construction experience
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
- Demonstrated proficiency using OSP Insight and AutoCAD
- Leadership – Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions
- Accountability - Ability to plan, organize, measure, and coordinate multiple tasks to deliver the budget for product line, revenue, and profit
