Sr. Manager, National Security Space Policy

Job Summary
Lead the team's impact on all aspects of national security space policy by developing and implementing strategy to shape legislation in support of team objectives. Craft messaging and materials, then represent Blue Origin and its policy interests with external and internal stakeholders, including national and local legislative bodies and executive agencies. Manage external consultants, engage the nationwide supplier base, and support strategy for State and Local Government Relations initiatives. Interface directly with company leadership, business units, communications, legal, and sales teams to execute USG engagements. This role reports to the Vice President of Government Relations within Blue Origin's corporate functions, providing centralized support across business unit teams, functions, and locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 6+ years of congressional experience or related partnership experience with local/state government, C level executives, or similar
- Experience developing and implementing successful legislative strategies
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Able to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with Members of Congress, agency leadership, VIPs and representing Blue Origin with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills for tracking government programs and budgets, and congressional issues, while meeting deadlines
- Knowledge of DOD space programs and budgets
- Proficient in the Congressional Budget processes
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
