Sr. Manager, Multimedia Content Production

Job Summary
Lead multimedia projects from concept through final delivery, including creative development, scripting, production planning, filming, photography, editing, and post-production. Develop episodic series, promotional videos, podcasts, and short-form documentaries while directing interviews and studio recordings. Manage production calendars, workflows, and digital asset organization for multiple concurrent projects, overseeing one direct report and outside vendors. Ensure all content is accurate, on brand, and delivered to high creative standards across YouTube, social media, and NACo.org. Lead field production at conferences and county visits, capturing interviews and event highlights for same-day and long-term use. This role supports NACo's mission to strengthen counties across America through compelling digital storytelling and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in film, communications, journalism, digital media or a related field
- 7-10 years of experience in multimedia production, photography, video production or podcasting
- Demonstrated experience managing the full production lifecycle from concept through post-production and distribution
- Strong portfolio showcasing video, podcast, photography and digital storytelling across multiple platforms
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects or comparable software
- Strong knowledge of video production, photography, lighting, audio, editing and post-production workflows
- Experience managing studio operations, production schedules, digital asset management, vendors and multiple concurrent projects
- Exceptional storytelling, organization, project management and communication skills
- Location and Travel: This position is in Washington, D.C. but eligible for a hybrid work schedule and requires travel for NACo conferences, meetings and partner engagements

- Familiarity with associations, nonprofits, public policy or local government is preferred
