Job Summary
Sr. Manager, Global Medical Affairs – Clinical Nutrition provides clinical and technical expertise to Baxter’s Global Clinical Nutrition business unit and partners with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams to inform medical strategy, support evidence generation, and guide product development and lifecycle management. Responsibilities include contributing to global medical strategy, identifying unmet clinical needs, providing clinical input into early-stage development (including TPPs, endpoints, differentiation), supporting competitive landscape assessments, delivering medical and scientific information to internal/external stakeholders, leading evidence generation strategies (clinical studies, RWE, publications, advisory forums), collaborating on clinical and health economic evidence, building KOL relationships, contributing to regulatory input and training, representing Global Clinical Nutrition in meetings and scientific forums, and leveraging data analytics to derive actionable insights. Requires a licensed clinician with 5+ years of clinical experience and the ability to travel up to 25% (within the US and internationally). The role emphasizes exceptional medical writing and presentation skills and is anchored in Baxter’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Healthcare professional with 5+ years of clinical experience
- Licensed clinician (PharmD, MD, RD, or other relevant allied health professional)
- Prior experience in Medical Affairs within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry required
- Strong understanding of regulatory and quality requirements in product development and lifecycle management
- Experience in clinical research, evidence generation, and publications preferred
- Exposure to real-world evidence, digital health, or informatics strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Baxter Clinical Nutrition products is preferred
- Knowledge of Clinical Nutrition and/or hospital-based therapies preferred
