Job Summary
Senior role leading healthcare compliance for Malaysia, Thailand and possibly other Southeast Asia markets within DePuy Synthes. Serves as the Healthcare Compliance Officer for the region, partnering with country leadership, Legal, business and global Compliance teams to promote ethical business conduct, manage compliance risk, and ensure adherence to healthcare laws and company policies. Responsibilities include developing and executing compliance strategies, identifying and managing risks related to commercial, promotional, professional education, and other activities; guiding business leaders on compliance requirements; embedding effective controls into go-to-market models; overseeing training, monitoring, risk assessments, and issue management; supporting investigations and interactions with regulators; monitoring regulatory developments; delivering risk assessments and insights to leadership; and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. Required: Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years in healthcare compliance or related fields; strong knowledge of regional regulations; proven leadership in multi-country programs; strong communication skills. Preferred: advanced degree or certifications in Compliance, Legal, Risk, or Ethics; experience with medical devices/pharma in Southeast Asia; proficiency in English plus Bahasa Malaysia or Thai; up to 20–30% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and industry codes applicable in Southeast Asia.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex, multi-country compliance programs.
- Ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
