Job Summary
Senior Healthcare Compliance Officer for Canada leading end-to-end compliance strategy for DePuy Synthes Orthopedics. Located in Toronto, this role partners with country leadership, Legal, business and regional/global Compliance teams to promote ethical business conduct, manage compliance risk, and ensure adherence to healthcare laws and company policies. Key duties include developing and executing healthcare compliance strategies, embedding effective controls into business processes, overseeing programs (training, monitoring, risk assessments, issue management), supporting investigations and audits, monitoring regulatory developments, and presenting risk assessments to leadership. Requires 8–10 years of healthcare compliance or related experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization. Travel up to 20–30% within Canada; English required with French preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management, audit, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and industry codes applicable in Canada
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex, country-level compliance programs
- Proven ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
