Job Summary
Senior Manager, Global External Manufacturing role provides operational leadership for strategic Innovation initiatives with external manufacturing partners, driving cost reductions and KPI performance (OTIF, schedule adherence, CTQ) while collaborating across procurement, production services, and quality. Responsibilities include leading SOX/audit-related tasks, site selection and contract renegotiation, continuous improvement projects, supplier engagement and forecasting, SAP master data and cycle count processes, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure supply chain agility and cost consistency. The position emphasizes operational excellence across contract sites, external manufacturing performance tracking, and leadership in commercialization teams within a hybrid workplace.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, planning, or logistics environments
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
- SAP (ERP/MRP) experience
- Strong expertise in SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit processes
- Proven track record managing inventory accuracy programs, including cycle counts and reconciliation processes
- Ability to lead, empower, and influence others
- Ability to thrive in and provide direction through ambiguity
- Self-directed and able to work toward corporate and Business Unit objectives
- Proven strength in analysis, root cause identification, and problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain process improvements
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of continuous improvement and Lean methodologies
- Experience with SOX compliance and inventory management
- Working knowledge of quality systems and process capability
- Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing principles
- Customer-service oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel up to 40% if needed
- Hybrid workplace type: Hybrid - 3 day in the office, 2 days WFH
