Sr Manager, Fuel Accounting

Job Summary
Senior Manager leading multiple fuel accounting teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance across departments; sets goals, defines expectations, drives accountability, and coaches managers and individual contributors while aligning cross-functional objectives. Applies deep knowledge of accounting principles, fuel operations, and company processes to guide decision-making, support operational efficiency, and roll out new products or technologies impacting fuel accounting. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience; proficiency in GAAP, internal controls, ERP and fuel management systems, and knowledge of fuel tax reporting. Local presence in Knoxville, TN, and legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of accounting experience with a focus on fuel, energy, transportation, or commodity accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems and fuel management systems
- Knowledge of federal and state fuel tax reporting
