Job Summary
Senior Manager, Financial Reporting leads the Company's financial reporting processes to ensure GAAP and SEC compliance, oversees preparation/analysis of financial information and reviews statements and reports for senior management. Partners with Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury, Tax, and Audit services to determine accounting treatments and disclosures, supports development of accounting policies, and ensures accurate external disclosures. Manages a team of associates, guides performance and development, and supports external audits (SOX 404) and quarterly/yearly reporting obligations, including SEC filings and the annual proxy statement.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Current Certified Public Accountant license required
- Seven or more years of relevant accounting experience including five or more years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or corporate financial reporting with significant exposure to SEC reporting requirements
- Three or more years of experience leading teams to achieve common goals (leadership and development of direct/indirect reports)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and XBRL
- Experience preparing, analyzing and reviewing financial statements and related disclosures (MD&A, notes, exhibits)
- Experience with XBRL taxonomy and tagging of financial statements and notes (preferred)
- Proven ability to communicate complex information clearly to senior management and cross-functional partners
- Project management experience and ability to manage multiple initiatives
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Workiva
- Ability to work onsite at least four days per week (Richmond, VA)
