Job Summary
Global leader responsible for electrical safety and commissioning safety across Vertiv’s products, services, and installation activities. Drives global alignment on safe execution of commissioning in high-energy environments, defines and standardizes safe systems of work, ensures regulatory compliance, reduces exposure through practical field controls, and leads safety governance across multi-contractor environments. Partners with Engineering, Services, and EHS to embed safety into design and field practice, conducts auditing and inspections, and applies Human and Organizational Performance to drive continuous improvement. Requires 10+ years of experience in electrical safety/commissioning/high-risk environments and expertise in arc flash, lockout/tagout, and implementing effective safety controls, with the ability to influence across functions and travel globally (approximately 30–50%).
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in electrical safety, commissioning, or high-risk industrial environments
- Demonstrated expertise in high-energy electrical systems (e.g., data centers, UPS, industrial power systems)
- Arc flash and electrical hazard management
- Lockout/tagout and establishing safe work conditions
- Experience working in construction or multi-contractor environments
- Proven ability to influence across Engineering, Operations, and Services organizations
- Strong understanding of global safety standards and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with auditing, inspection, and compliance verification programs
- Ability to translate technical risk into practical field controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field or equivalent practical experience
