Job Summary
Sr Manager / Dep Director role leading Silicon Photonics technology development at GlobalFoundries Fab 8. Manages and guides a team focused on process integration of silicon photonic devices from development through production, engaging with customers and coordinating quality, cost, and delivery. Responsibilities include ensuring technologies and features meet standardized quality and financial expectations, performing complex quality analysis with financial implications, protecting client interests by validating technology maturity, standardizing site quality processes, driving robustness of qualification processes across multiple sites, and collaborating across projects while upholding safety and EHS requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in photonics, CMOS device physics, semiconductor processing, and device characterization; demonstrates lean manufacturing principles; excels in problem solving, technical writing, and cross-functional collaboration; and possesses leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- PHD's/Master Degree with 10+ years of working experience in relevant field
- Degree must be in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline
- Experience in Si photonics preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
- Preferred Qualifications: Results oriented and focused on quality of work
- Strong background in photonics and CMOS device physics, semiconductor processing, and device characterization
- Expected Salary Range $143,000.00 - $247,000.00
