Job Summary

Lead and grow the platform, DevOps, and integration engineering team while managing capacity across build, migration, and legacy support. Own the roadmap by translating target architecture into sequenced capabilities and standards, then manage the core platform including environments, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation delivered as self-service patterns. Drive ingestion and integration frameworks for batch, replication, CDC, and API, while establishing reliability, observability, and on-call practices across data products. Optimize platform cost and performance in partnership with Finance, define acceptance criteria for partner implementations, and lead the migration off the legacy estate. Work closely with the Senior Manager, Data Engineering, Security, and Privacy to ensure the platform serves analytics and data science needs while adhering to enterprise policy.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in data platform, data engineering, or infrastructure engineering
  • 5+ years managing engineering teams
  • track record of hiring senior and staff engineers
  • growing technical leadership beneath you
  • Built and operated a modern cloud lakehouse in production
  • Ran a platform migration while the legacy environment stayed in production
  • Led external delivery partners or vendor engineering teams
  • Built ingestion at scale (batch, replication, CDC, and API) on a reusable framework
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Databricks depth: Unity Catalog, Workflows/Jobs, Delta/DLT
  • AWS data stacks (S3, Iceberg/Delta) and streaming (Kafka)
  • Owned platform cost and performance: accountable for a consumption or budget line, with specific optimizations you can point to
  • Retired or replaced in-house platform component in favor of a supported alternative
  • Consumer products, hardware, technology, or subscription businesses
