Job Summary
Design and implement corporate safety policies, programs, and governance systems ensuring regulatory compliance across retail and supply chain operations. Serve as a subject matter expert providing technical support, training, and regulatory assistance to all organizational levels. Lead cross-functional teams in developing safety programs while routinely reviewing technical resources for effectiveness against federal, state OSHA, and national consensus standards. Collaborate with management to write, publish, and maintain policy repositories, translating complex regulatory text into clear guidelines and expectations. Drive safety as a core operational value with minimal travel required to support compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Proven understanding of safety compliance and the ability to understand the operational impact when developing content
- Excellent collaboration skills in being a subject matter expert and working with subject matter experts throughout the organization
- Knowledgeable of learning and development practices with ability to create large scale company-wide policies and programs
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Advanced technical writing skills to create and maintain policies, procedures and documents
- Must be able to convert regulatory text into succinct programs, policies, procedures and other useful tools and resources
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess knowledge of content management systems and technical writing best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, project and change management skills
- Minimum 7 years' experience supporting multiple operations across multiple geographies
- Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience, direct or indirect
- Effective technical writing skills with the ability to interpret federal and state OSHA regulations, National Consensus Standards and apply them in ACIs safety management system appropriately
- Ability to translate highly technical information into well-understood guidelines, expectations, programs, and governance
- Critical approach to unifying common programs and approaches for compliance and understanding, knowing that 'one-size does not always fit all'
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Professional safety certification such as CSP or ASP preferred
