Sr Manager - Construction

Job Summary
Lead strategic and operational oversight of commercial construction projects from planning through closeout, managing a portfolio of complex initiatives and the Controls Department. Establish master schedules, resource plans, and labor utilization strategies to optimize subcontractor performance and project sequencing. Direct field operations for technicians in pipefitting, sheet metal, and plumbing, ensuring compliance with contracts, laws, and customer requirements. Partner with Account Managers, Finance, Procurement, and vendors to align delivery with business objectives, while providing senior-level estimating, preconstruction support, and risk assessment. Monitor budgets, job costs, and key performance indicators to achieve financial goals, and serve as escalation leader for high-risk projects, safety events, and customer concerns. Conduct jobsite reviews to track progress, safety, and quality against specifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, HVAC/mechanical construction, estimating, project management, field operations, or operations leadership
- 5 - 10 years of people leadership experience, including direct supervision of managers, project teams, field leadership, skilled trades, or multi-disciplinary construction teams
- Ability to travel to local job sites up to 75%
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school training in HVAC, mechanical systems, construction trades, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field
