Job Summary
Lead PMI's Global Compliance Program in Japan by implementing global standards, assessing and mitigating ethics risks through monitoring and testing, and providing risk-based advisory guidance on anti-bribery, conflicts of interest, and regulatory requirements. Conduct or oversee investigations to ensure confidential handling of allegations and recommend corrective actions while developing training activities to strengthen ethical decision-making. Report on key risks, trends, and program performance indicators to build trusted relationships with business leaders. Requires minimum 7 years in compliance, fluent Japanese and English, and a Bachelor's degree in Law or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Law, Business Administration, Compliance, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Compliance, Legal, Internal Controls, Risk Management, Audit, or a related function
- Experience in a multinational organization
- Proven experience managing compliance programs, risk assessments, investigations, monitoring, advisory work, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong knowledge of ethics and compliance programs, including ABAC, governance, risk assessment, investigations, and advisory work
- High integrity, sound judgment, analytical thinking, and a practical approach to business challenges
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, project management, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Fluent in Japanese and English, both written and spoken
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant professional certification in compliance, legal, audit, or risk management
- Experience in regulated industries and working with regulatory requirements
