Job Summary

Direct the organization's regulatory, safety, and corporate compliance program by maintaining effectiveness across California, Arizona, and Florida operations. Develop and implement a comprehensive framework to proactively monitor regulatory changes, manage departmental budgets, and oversee incident reporting systems. Coordinate regulatory submissions, interpret rule changes, and prepare technical files for license approvals. Serve as the primary internal project manager for expansion initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely execution. Investigate compliance violations, develop policies to mitigate risk, and lead training programs for leadership and employees. Track cannabis licensing obligations and continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 10-15 years' experience in compliance management
  • Thorough knowledge of all applicable state and local cannabis regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of company's products and the industry
  • Knowledge of techniques to achieve success in all aspects of customer interaction and satisfaction
  • Knowledge of software applications that allow for effective customer support, generation of reports and internal presentations
  • Must be 21+ to be eligible for employment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to track and manage programmatic and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external partners
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion
  • Strong ethical character capable of handling confidential and financial information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to recognize problems, collect data and establish facts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
