Job Summary
Sr. Manager, Clinical Operations & Strategic Alliances leads operational execution and strategic management of large-scale academic collaborations and multi-year partnerships to advance diagnostic applications in single-cell and spatial technologies. Responsible for managing study timelines, risk, budgets, sample logistics and chain of custody, regulatory/compliance adherence (IRB, GCLP/CLIA where applicable), and governance of partnerships. Serves as primary liaison between internal teams and external academic/industry partners, overseeing contract lifecycle, milestones, and deliverables, and facilitating joint steering committees. Requires experience in clinical operations and alliance/program management, ability to navigate fast-paced environments, exceptional stakeholder management, and willingness to travel. Base pay range is provided with total compensation including equity and benefit programs; candidate's skills and experience influence the offer.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (M.S., PharmD, Ph.D., M.B.A.) in Life Science, Clinical, or related field is required
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience with 4-5 years in Clinical Operations and Alliance/Program Management within diagnostics/biotech/pharma
- Direct experience managing research studies involving large numbers of patient samples and complex molecular testing or biomarkers
- Experience in clinical study execution, site management, and sample logistics/chain of custody
- Experience managing high-value strategic alliances and driving value through collaborative research, development, or commercialization agreements
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership of external stakeholders and internal teams
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits and partner engagement
- Startup or small biotech experience; familiarity with CLIA/CAP standards
