Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of Accounts Payable professionals, establishing clear roles, managing performance expectations, and fostering a high-performing culture focused on responsiveness and accuracy. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while managing payment runs, monitoring AP aging, and driving resolution of outstanding items. Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, resolve payment issues and disputes, and partner with Finance Systems to optimize workflows within Coupa and NetSuite. Drive initiatives to increase electronic payments, reduce manual processes, and support supplier portal adoption. Oversee key fraud prevention controls, ensure compliance with SOX requirements, and prepare for internal and external audits. Standardize AP processes, document procedures, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of AP processes, P2P workflows, and accounting principles
- Experience operating in a SOX-compliant environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and AP automation tools (e.g., Coupa)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in a high-growth or transforming organization
- Track record of implementing process improvements or system enhancements
- Experience leading remote or distributed teams
