Job Summary
Own the core accounting close and reporting engine by leading month-end and quarter-end close processes, driving US GAAP compliance, and managing international consolidations. Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses while overseeing accounts payable, treasury management, and tax statutory compliance. Serve as a key driver for audit readiness by managing the interface with auditors, maintaining the PBC list, and ensuring deliverables are produced on time. Mentor a high-performing team across GL Accounting and Operations, establish process documentation, and lead projects to implement scalable automation and workflow improvements. Report to the Corporate Controller in Sunnyvale, CA, with a base salary of $170,000-210,000, hybrid schedule, and no H-1B sponsorship available for new hires after September 21, 2025.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 2–3 years in a management role
- Strong command of US GAAP
- Experience with financial close
- Experience with consolidations
- Experience with international/multi-entity reporting
- Hands-on NetSuite system management experience
- Banking portal management experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in office)
- Ability to work in multiple time zones
- Ability to serve as the face of Corporate Accounting to the broader company
- Ability to lead the month-end and quarter-end close
- Ability to drive US GAAP compliance and consolidations across international entities
- Ability to prepare the organization for its first external audit
- Ability to manage and mentor a high-performing team

- Ability to own consolidations and review the international reporting package
- Ability to ensure US GAAP compliance
- Ability to prepare reporting packages for executive leadership
- Ability to ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and eliminated
- Ability to align intercompany transactions with transfer pricing policies
- Ability to manage functional-currency determination
- Ability to translate financial statements including foreign currency impact under ASC 830
- Ability to oversee the accounts payable function
- Ability to ensure vendor payments, expense processing, and related controls are accurate, timely, and compliant
- Ability to manage end-to-end cash processes including cash forecasting
- Ability to manage payment initiation and approval
- Ability to manage overall treasury management
- Ability to own banking relationships
- Ability to support the consolidation of the company's banking footprint
- Ability to own and manage tax and statutory compliance requirements across jurisdictions
- Ability to serve as a key driver in establishing audit-readiness
- Ability to own the day-to-day interface with auditors
- Ability to ensure audit deliverables are produced and reviewed on time
- Ability to keep fieldwork on track
- Ability to maintain and manage the PBC list
- Ability to ensure accounting process and policy documentation is complete, accurate, and consistently applied
- Ability to partner with the Controller and technical accounting resources to document and operationalize technical accounting positions
