Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •2+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry
• •4 years of experience working as an experienced level maintenance mechanic
• •Ability to work rotation 12-hour shift including weekends and some overtime and occasionally
• •Ability to follow manufacturing specifications and schematics
• •Knowledge of food grade aluminum and stainless-steel welding techniques
• •Complete knowledge of fabrication techniques
• •Electrical knowledge and packing machinery experience
• •Possess a full complement of the necessary hand and power tools to support an industrial manufacturing plant
• •Ability to multitask, prioritize items and be self-motivated
• •Complete knowledge of all tools required for industrial maintenance, including those used to broach, mill, and lathe
• •Must be able to communicate and understand safety issues, including reading the information on safety equipment and relaying relevant information to coworkers
• •Have a basic knowledge of control power and main power
• •Must be able to identify and understand all different lubricants and their use for a chain lube to a high-performance synthetic lube
• •Knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Acetylene)
• •Understand pneumatic and water systems
• •Must be able to use soldering techniques
• •Must be able to read electrical schematics
• •Must be able to identify appropriate motor frame, power load, and amp draw
• •Must have their own set of professional electrical tools, including voltmeter and amp meter
• •Must be able to use some machine shop, and other related machines as required to repair parts or fabricate modifications
• •Ability to use mechanical and pneumatic processes: including cylinders and glue machines, date coders
• •Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and other appropriate equipment
• •Must be able to maintain equipment in accordance with diagrams and manufactures specifications while following preventative maintenance work orders and scheduled PM's
• •Generate work orders, and parts request
• •Must be able to prioritize and triage in a fast-paced work environment
• •Must be able to diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, detect and replace defective items, test and make final adjustments for high-speed production equipment
• •Diagnose and repair all electrical functions
• •Installed, and/or troubleshoot and repair Manufacturing equipment such as: assembly, conveyors, forming, mixing
• •Follows work instructions and OSHA safety rules, including the use of all PPE and other safety equipment in an industrial environment
• •Maintain current GMP, Safety, Food Safety, & technical knowledge by actively participating in training
• •Ability to effectively lead and coach others
• •Strong attention to detail
• •Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
