Job Summary
Conduct corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution, mechanical, HVAC, power generation, plumbing, medical gas systems, and building structures. Perform inspection, calibration, adjusting, lubricating, and repair or replacement of components while completing assigned work orders for utilities equipment such as filters, motors, pumps, and belts. Submit documentation to supervisors, maintain repair records, and coordinate fire and life safety measures with Safety and Security departments. Train other Engineers and mechanics, establish work procedures, and ensure compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations. Maintain orderly work areas and attend required in-services and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Five (5) years' experience in healthcare or similar environments as a maintenance mechanic
- Two (2) years of experience if a trade or vocational school graduate
