Job Summary
Sr. Maintenance Mechanic at Daimler Truck North America’s Gastonia Parts Plant provides electro-mechanical support and drives process improvements. Responsible for installing and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; able to troubleshoot robotic, PLC and servo drive controls; perform repairs on CNC machining centers, CNC punches, brake presses, stamping presses, and automated manufacturing systems; requires knowledge of air compressors, boiler, chiller, HVAC, and industrial electrical systems; hands-on with electrical meters, oscilloscope, and a variety of maintenance tools. Applicants should have 8+ years of industrial maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and be prepared to take a skilled trades test during trial period. Location is Gastonia, NC and relocation assistance is not available. This role is onsite with standard manufacturing shifts and a focus on preventive maintenance and root cause analysis to keep automated equipment running smoothly.
