Sr Machinist (1st Shift)

Job Summary
Operate computer or mechanically controlled machines to produce and repair metal parts by analyzing engineering specifications and selecting appropriate tool paths for lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and grinders. Manually set up and adjust equipment, then cut, shape, or finish metal, plastic, or composite materials while utilizing precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units, recommends design revisions based on machinability, and maintains tools to ensure safe operation. Requires 2-5 years of experience with vocational training and willingness to work the 1st shift.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree
- 2-5 years' experience
- Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
- May be requested to work a different shift
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required
- This position is Safety-Sensitive
