Job Summary

Develop novel machine learning and computer vision algorithms that form the core of medical device products, focusing on areas such as medical image analysis, segmentation, and object detection. Design efficient experiments to analyze current algorithm performance, report results, and determine future directions for enhancement while iterating to improve existing models. Contribute to R&D infrastructure, perform code reviews, and actively participate in problem-solving discussions and continuous learning of new technologies. This role requires a Ph.D. or MS with relevant industry experience, proficiency in TensorFlow or Pytorch, and strong Python or C++ skills. Remote-based in the U.S., this position supports Digital Diagnostics' mission to transform healthcare accessibility through autonomous AI diagnosis.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in technical field, or MS in a technical field with 2+ years of industry experience, or 5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience with major machine learning framework (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Experience in training deep learning models for computer vision tasks
  • Python, or C++ experience
  • Image processing experience (e.g. OpenCV, ITK)
  • This position can be located anywhere in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ML training platforms like sagemaker, zenML
  • Strong programming skillset
  • Experience with databases
  • Specific expertise in any of the following fields: medical image analysis, algorithm design, segmentation, object detection, computer vision
  • Knowledge of the medical device/software development industry
  • Interest in medical device and creating products that impact patients
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to take ownership of projects
