Job Summary
The Sr. Loan Officer is responsible for soliciting mortgage loans, assisting customers in selecting appropriate loan programs, and completing loan applications. This role liaises between borrowers and processors to communicate loan status and updates. Key duties include developing sales campaigns, coordinating marketing efforts, providing customer assistance in loan terms and interest rates, and ensuring smooth loan processing. Candidates should have significant experience in mortgage sales, hold a Mortgage Loan Originators license, and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of mortgage sales and mortgage loan origination experience, or equivalent production achievement (dollar volume and/or unit volume based upon market)
- Mortgage Loan Originators license with NMLS
- Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work under sometimes stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm
- Able to operate personal computers to include MS Word, Excel and Internet
- Able to work independently and exercise sound judgement
- Able to sit for long periods of time while process loan applications and making phone solicitations
- Able to travel locally
