Job Summary
The Senior Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and sells Bank mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with business referral sources, prospecting new opportunities, conducting borrower interviews, overseeing loan processes, and ensuring compliance with banking laws and regulations. A successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of mortgage sales experience, and proficiency in digital technology and desktop applications. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, active prospecting, and mentorship of new originators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- 5 - 7 years of Mortgage sales experience
- Proficient with mobile smartphones and downloading applications
- Proficient utilizing desktop applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Exchange)
- Proficient utilizing the Internet (mobile and desktop) to search and locate information
