Job Summary
Sr. Legal Counsel (Regulatory & Compliance) at Crocs, Inc. leads global regulatory and compliance strategy, partnering with the business to navigate legal requirements, assess risk, and build scalable compliance programs for a consumer-goods brand. Key responsibilities include overseeing global product compliance programs (testing protocols such as REACH, CPSIA, CA Prop 65, ASTM standards), advising on labeling and packaging across markets (country-of-origin, material composition, care instructions, consumer warnings), tracking evolving regulatory requirements for footwear and accessories (including Green Claims and EPR), developing supplier compliance programs with audits and corrective actions, coordinating with labs, certification bodies, and external counsel, mentoring legal colleagues, and shaping enterprise-wide governance models. The candidate should have substantial regulatory/compliance experience, law degree and bar admission, in-house experience preferred, and strong communication and project-management skills. The role is on-site in the Corporate Office with Crocs’ blended in-person/virtual collaboration model (Collaborator persona). The role offers a salary range of $180,000-$195,000 and is part of a broader benefits package and E-Verify participation.
Required Qualifications
- Admitted to the bar of at least one US State and in good standing
- 8+ years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney in regulatory/compliance for consumer goods
- significant experience advising on regulatory, compliance, and complex commercial or technology matters
- 2+ years of in-house experience preferred
- experience leading regulatory risk management across business operations
- ability to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory risk
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
- detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
