Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer responsible for optimizing back-end applications for speed, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with technical architects and designers on new products, promote Agile practices (Scrum, Lean, BDD, Continuous Delivery), research new technologies, and provide technical guidance across the organization. Work with globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, advise Wealth Managers and Product Specialists, and present/demonstrate to users, stakeholders, and technology groups. Requires formal software engineering training or certification with 5+ years of experience; strong Python and Java/J2EE with Spring ecosystems; front-end skills in ReactJS/TypeScript/HTML5/CSS3; relational databases and data modeling; extensive AWS experience (Lambda, ECS, S3, Aurora, API Gateway); CI/CD and testing (JUnit, mocks, TDD); focus on high availability and architectural best practices; proven leadership capability. Preferred qualifications include experience in Reactive Programming, DevOps, Kafka, RabbitMQ, finance industry knowledge, and familiarity with Atlassian tools.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Experience in building models using quant
- Fluency in Python development
- Experience in Core Java & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Flux & Spring Security
- Experience in Web UI development using ReactJS, TypeScript, Html 5, CSS 3
- Relational Database development skills including SQL and data modelling
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines with designing and building applications natively on AWS, utilizing AWS Lambda, ECS, S3, Aurora, API Gateway
- Experience with unit and integration tools and techniques including JUnit, mocking and test-driven development
- Experience in high availability development and architectural practices
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, & decision-making skills
- Proven track record of technical leadership experience
