Job Summary
Senior Vice President/Lead Engineer role focused on US Listed Options, combining hands-on software engineering with strategic leadership. Lead engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy mission-critical, cloud-native, event-driven platforms using Java, Spring, AWS, Kafka, Python, SQL/NoSQL, Apache Spark, and containerization. Drive AI-enabled enhancements, modernize legacy systems, ensure regulatory and risk/compliance alignment, and mentor high-performing teams to deliver scalable, robust technology solutions for securities processing within a fast-paced, risk-aware financial services environment.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience in software engineering
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Senior leadership experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Java and Python and Spring Framework
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, MQ
- Practical cloud-native experience (AWS)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes and Docker)
- Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with AI-based development including integrating machine learning models into enterprise platforms
- Experience in US Listed Options is preferred
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field (preferred)
