Job Summary
Lead software engineering efforts to migrate a trade processing platform to a cloud-native architecture; design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, high-quality Java microservices; produce architecture and design artifacts; analyze large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement; identify and automate remediation of recurring issues; mentor and lead communities of practice while promoting diversity and inclusion in a globally distributed team.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 8+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Advanced coding with Java 11
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgresQL, and Mongo DB
- Experience with event-driven development, Kafka and JMS
- Strong experience developing applications built on microservices architecture
- Ability to communicate effectively across different organizational levels
- Experience with AWS ecosystem and cloud-native migrations
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Ability to contribute directly to coding, code reviews, and technical team delivery
