Job Summary
Sr Lead Software Engineer role at JPMorgan Chase within the Accelerator business. Responsible for shaping domain models and building scalable, secure backend products using Java/Kotlin on JVM, with a focus on zero-downtime releases, performance optimization, and reliable, maintainable code. You will structure software for clarity and evolution, investigate and resolve issues to prevent recurrence, and keep systems up-to-date with evolving technologies and patterns. The role emphasizes collaboration in squads/tribes, mentoring others, and delivering fintech solutions that solve real-world problems for customers and partners. Knowledge of cloud-native, multi-cloud environments, open-source approaches, and architectural patterns is required to drive durable, real-world solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience
- Proven experience with JVM-based languages (Java/Kotlin)
- Experience building scalable, secure backend systems
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Ability to teach others and contribute to team development
- Comfortable with changing priorities and learning new technologies quickly
