Job Summary
Senior Lead ML Platform Engineer role focusing on designing, building, and maintaining scalable ML platforms and infrastructure to support end-to-end ML workflows; developing tools for model training, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management; integrating data engineering, feature management, and model serving into unified platform solutions; automating infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD pipelines for ML platform services; collaborating with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to deliver platform features that accelerate ML development and operations; ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement; producing architecture/design artifacts aligned with enterprise standards; contributing to the ML platform engineering community of practice and exploring emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years applied experience in building ML platforms or infrastructure
- Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning platforms or infrastructure
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
- Experience with data processing frameworks (Spark, Pandas, SQL)
- Experience with cloud-based ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML) or on-prem ML infrastructure
- Strong understanding of MLOps practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring)
- Experience developing APIs and platform services for ML workflows
- Solid knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform solutions
