Job Summary
Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, building, and deploying advanced security solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments, with code development, automation, and secure SDLC integration. Responsibilities include threat modeling and risk assessments, implementing emerging security technologies (e.g., zero trust, container security, AI/ML-driven security analytics), incident response playbooks, post-incident reviews, and mentoring junior engineers while contributing as an individual contributor. The role requires collaboration with product, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure security requirements are understood and implemented, and staying current with cybersecurity trends and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of applied training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Proven hands-on design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade security solutions in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience performing threat modeling and risk assessments (STRIDE, DREAD, PASTA)
- Advanced proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, C/C++, Go, Java) and scripting for automation
- Deep understanding of secure software development practices (code review, static/dynamic analysis, vulnerability remediation)
- Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with integrated security testing (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with version control and agile tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jira)
- Ability to independently solve complex design challenges and mitigate security risks
- Experience evaluating vendors' security practices against industry standards
