Job Summary
Senior Lead Security Engineer-Automation and Engineering Manager at JPMorganChase within the Cybersecurity and Tech Controls team. Responsibilities include leading architecture, design, and documentation of complex security-enabled platforms, mentoring a team of engineers, developing IaC-driven deployments (Terraform), collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, performing risk assessments and incident response activities, and ensuring regulatory compliance across infrastructure environments. Strong emphasis on security, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), scripting (Python/Go/Java/Shell), Linux/Unix administration, cryptography and HSMs, and experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring tools like Splunk.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
- 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including architecture and system design for highly available infrastructure
- Advanced technical troubleshooting skills, with strong Linux/Unix administration experience
- Deep understanding of cryptographic principles, key management, confidential computing, and secure hardware operations (e.g., HSMs)
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Shell scripting)
- Expertise in public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including cloud security and automation
- Experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC tools for infrastructure automation
- Hands-on experience with network security, firewalls, and secure connectivity
- Experience with Splunk or similar tools for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering talent
