Job Summary
Sr Lead Product Manager at PayPal responsible for leading EU AML/KYC product strategy and translating regulatory expectations (EU AMLD5/AMLD6, EUDIW) into scalable, customer-centric solutions. Owns end-to-end onboarding, identity verification, and compliance controls; partners with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Engineering, and regional teams to balance risk, conversion, and speed. Drives regulatory readiness, maintains trust with regulators (e.g., CSSF), and ensures scalable AML/KYC capabilities to improve onboarding conversion and verification outcomes. Leads cross-functional workstreams (analytics, customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis) and oversees product profitability, budgets, and operating reviews. Strong emphasis on data-driven decision making, stakeholder communication, and alignment with Legal, Compliance, Policy, Risk, Engineering, Design, and UX researchers; experienced in regulated environments and fintech/payments domains.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or payments, particularly in compliance, KYC/AML, or identity verification product domains
