Job Summary
Sr Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Messaging Architect responsible for designing and prototyping messaging implementations across distributed systems and modern data platforms. Lead engagements, troubleshoot client implementations, act as trusted advisor across the firm, and contribute thought leadership through webinars and white papers. Requires deep Java-based software development/architecture expertise, strong communication skills, experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis, Pulsar) and traditional messaging systems (RabbitMQ, IBM MQ), and proficiency with Linux. Location-based role in Jersey City, NJ; on-site involvement expected.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 5+ years software development and architecture experience in Java
- 3+ years of customer-facing experience in a technical role
- 3+ years of big data experience with at least one messaging platform (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Kinesis, Pulsar)
- Experience with traditional messaging systems (such as RabbitMQ, IBM MQ) and SQL
- Proficiency with Linux environments
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience designing and supporting scalable, highly available distributed systems (lock-free concurrency, multi-region, P99, paxos & raft)
