Job Summary

Lead Facilities Electrical Engineering team to design and maintain building electrical infrastructure including outdoor substations, medium and low voltage power distribution, UPS, 400Hz power converters, fire alarm and fire protection systems, grounding and lightning protection, and associated electrical systems. Responsibilities include development of short- to mid-term site electrical infrastructure plans, project scoping and budget estimation, load sizing, coordination studies, arc flash analysis, development of construction drawings, panel design, bid documentation, and construction administration for office renovations, manufacturing space expansions, and equipment installations. Will lead the electrical team through design, bid, construction, commissioning, and close-out phases, coordinate with estimating, scheduling, IT, safety, security, contractors, and suppliers, and ensure compliance with RTX/Raytheon/EHS&S standards and all applicable codes. Required to manage and mentor the team, oversee maintenance and shutdown activities, develop SOWs, and ensure full system commissioning before turnover. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, 10+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ with advanced degree), active DoD Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a professional engineering license in Arizona or eligibility to obtain within 6 months; on-site in Tucson, AZ with potential support to other sites and occasional travel.

Required Qualifications

  • BS Electrical Engineering or related discipline (BSEE) or equivalent
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain/maintain
  • U.S. citizenship (eligibility for security clearance)
  • Active Professional Engineering license/registration in Electrical Engineering in Arizona or eligible to obtain within 6 months
  • 10+ years building electrical engineering experience (or 7+ years with advanced degree)
  • Experience with high/medium/low voltage power distribution systems
  • Experience in construction project management including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, commissioning, close-out
  • Ability to read/write technical specifications, reports, operating procedures
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70/70E/72/90/101/110 and related codes
