Job Summary
Set up automation and tooling for installation and configuration of Windows servers, Linux servers, and related software components. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply updates, patches, and security fixes using automation. Automate configuration management for network services like DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory, while implementing backup strategies and security measures including firewalls and access controls. Analyze system performance to identify bottlenecks and optimize efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and procedures, and participate in planning new systems, upgrades, and migrations. This role supports the Mission Operations team in Herndon, VA, delivering complex solutions for commercial and government customers within a Top Secret/SCI cleared environment.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly clearance
- 3+ years of experience with Development Operations (DevOps)
- 3+ years of experience with scripting programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience
- Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 5: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Network protocols and services knowledge, such as DNS, DHCP
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, to perform virtual machine management, resource allocation, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with using a scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks, streamline processes, and improve efficiency
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins
- Certifications in DevOps, DevOps Tooling, or IT Certifications
