Job Summary
Own and execute the strategy, design, governance, and evolution of benefits programs across Canada and the United States. Develop the global benefits philosophy, conduct market assessments, and lead the design, implementation, and rollout of new initiatives while balancing local requirements. Manage end-to-end vendor negotiations and broker relationships, establishing governance processes and performance metrics. Oversee day-to-day program operations, including leave administration and complex employee case management, and drive employee education strategies to improve utilization. Ensure ongoing compliance with Canadian and U.S. regulations and mitigate program-related risks. Partner with Legal, Finance, and People teams to scale the benefits function as the organization grows.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive benefits experience
- leadership responsibility for strategy, plan design, and vendor management
- Deep expertise in benefits program design and administration in Canada and the US
- strong knowledge of U.S. benefits and compliance requirements
- Experience managing leave, disability, and complex employee cases
- Demonstrated success building or transforming benefits programs in a growing organization
- Strong vendor, broker, and stakeholder management capabilities

- Experience developing benefits communications and employee education strategies
- Ability to analyze market data, identify gaps, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Exceptional project management, influencing, and change management skills
