Job Summary

Design and operate Kubernetes and container platforms supporting mission-critical workloads while maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. Ensure platform scalability, reliability, performance, and security, then troubleshoot and resolve production issues in complex environments. Participate in Agile execution, planning, and continuous improvement activities, communicating platform status, risks, and technical decisions clearly to stakeholders. Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical expertise and professionalism. This role requires an Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and 6+ years of systems or DevOps engineering experience. Candidates must hold Certified Kubernetes Administrator and Terraform Associate certifications, along with DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 451 System Administrator work role. This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification
  • Terraform Associate certification
  • DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 451 System Administrator work role, such as Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, or CISSP
  • 6+ years of experience in systems or DevOps engineering
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Hands-on experience ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of containerized environments in enterprise or mission-critical settings
  • Operational experience managing CI/CD pipelines, container build processes, and infrastructure automation
  • Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and operating container runtimes, orchestration tooling, and supporting services
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tooling including Rancher, Helm, Docker, Cilium, Rook, Ceph, MinIO, S3, and PortWorx
  • Experience leading or assisting in design and implementation on complex integrated container platforms
  • Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment
  • Required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
  • Ability to work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations
