Job Summary
Develop and maintain a high-performance Java-based matching engine for a crypto-trading platform. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and unit-testing new features; optimizing core matching engine, order book management, and transaction clearing components; building real-time, low-latency data streaming services via WebSockets; documenting source code and generating API documentation; and mastering tools like Git, Jenkins, and Maven. Collaborate with team members and PJM & PDM teams to deliver a robust backend for crypto/trading workflows. Qualifications emphasize Java expertise, experience with low-latency systems, familiarity with crypto/blockchain context, and strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in CS or equivalent field
- At least 5 years+ of professional experience in Java development
- Solid understanding of trading/matching engine mechanics (e.g., Price-Time Priority, order lifecycle, order book management)
- Experience in building high-performance, low-latency, and high-throughput systems; familiarity with in-memory computing or lock-free data structures is highly preferred
- Proficient in Java; nice to have: JavaScript, Python, or Golang
- Proficient in mainstream Java application frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, Jersey)
- Hands-on experience with WebSocket development for real-time applications
- Proficient in various data structures and Java concurrency
- Proficient in working with relational databases and SQL
- Independent contributor with good communication skills for teamwork
- Strong problem-solving skills
