Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Java Developer to build and maintain internal and external Java web-based applications for the NASA SEWP Program. Responsibilities include developing new web applications, maintaining existing applications for usability and performance, performing code reviews and testing, and participating in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Candidates must have a BA/BS degree in Computer Science and over 10 years of Java development experience, along with strong SQL skills, while preferred skills include various Java technologies and Agile experience.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of experience developing Java web-based applications
- 5+ years of experience working with ORACLE databases writing SQL queries
Desired Qualifications
- Java experience to include JSP, Spring Web Framework and RESTful Web Services
- Experience with CSS and HTML, JSON and XML
- Experience with JBoss, Hibernate or myBATIS, Maven, rich AJAX web applications, GIT and Software Development Process Model knowledge
- Agile Development Experience
Additional Requirements
- US Citizen or Naturalized Citizen, with ability to obtain Public Trust
- Must work On-site a minimum of 4 days per week
- Must possess strong written and oral communications skills
