Sr. IT Project Manager - IT Construction

Job Summary
Lead multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through hypercare, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality for new location openings, expansions, remodels, and infrastructure deployments across corporate, retail, and operations facilities. Coordinate with internal delivery teams and vendors to design, develop, and support custom solutions and third-party platforms, ensuring locations are technology-ready for inspection, licensing, and commercial operation. Apply Waterfall, Agile, or Scrum methodologies based on project requirements while facilitating steering committee updates and resolving team impediments. Mentor junior project managers and manage vendor relationships within a highly regulated, multi-state environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of progressively responsible IT project management experience, including infrastructure deployments, retail technology implementations, construction-related programs, or multi-site technology rollouts
- PMI-PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications
- Expert knowledge of project methodologies and frameworks (PMBOK, Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
- Experience leading projects within digital transformation initiatives or significant organizational change programs
- Experience with Azure DevOps suite or equivalent tool set
- Proficiency with ServiceNow SPM / CWM, MS Project, MS Project Web App and Office 365 suite
- Proficient understanding of SDLC with focus on agility, quality, and security
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, timeline, and budget
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing vendor relationships, SOWs, and third-party delivery teams
- Must possess organizational skills, leadership capability, and communication skills to succeed in this role
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating within a regulated industry (e.g., cannabis, pharmaceutical, healthcare, CPG) with familiarity managing regulatory, GxP, or multi-state compliance requirements within IT projects
- Experience managing technology workstreams associated with facility construction, remodel, relocation, or expansion projects
- Experience with data privacy and security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA) as applied to project delivery
- Experience operating within a formal PMO governance model with defined phase gates and executive steering committees
