Job Summary
Design world-class physical and digital interfaces for complex medical devices, driving product innovation from early concepting to final implementation. Define interactive system behavior through evidence-based prototyping and iteration, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and clinical teams to deliver safe, viable solutions. Articulate compelling design rationales, evolve the product's design language, and write comprehensive UI specifications for development and testing while mitigating safety and usability risks with Human Factors Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design or related field experience (in-house, agency, or freelance work)
- Expertise in physical or embedded interaction design (beyond web or mobile app interfaces)
- Proficiency in current design tools and software applications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent
- Must be able to show current proof of vaccination against certain diseases including COVID-19
- Preference will be given to qualified candidates who do not reside, or plan to reside, in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, or Tennessee
Desired Qualifications
- Experience designing for 3D and AR/VR interactions
- Expertise in motion design and animation
- Strong high-fidelity prototyping abilities (E.g. Unity or Protopie)
- Demonstrated systems thinking and experience designing for scalability across a product ecosystem
- Ability to articulate design concisely to leadership and stakeholders
- Excellent UX documentation writing skills
- Demonstrated success in bringing products with complex user interactions to market
