Job Summary
Sr. Instrumentation Engineer leads the design, development, and execution of field instrumentation and control systems for offshore oil & gas facilities. Acts as technical interface with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams; prepares instrument specifications, data sheets, BOMs, and evaluates vendor solutions; mentors junior engineers; supports cost estimating and scope definition; develops instrumentation designs from concept through implementation, including instrument index, cause-and-effect charts, installation details, wiring diagrams, and loop drawings; expects travel to field locations and offices, with emphasis on ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- BSc, MSc or equivalent in electrical/chemical engineering
- 10+ years of experience
- Experience with engineering and design of offshore oil & gas facilities involving field instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment and materials
- NCEES P.E. license (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Software: Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Experience with SPI (Intools) a plus; Microsoft Project preferred
- Ability to travel to offshore/offsite locations as required
