Job Summary
Senior Infrastructure Architect responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure environments. Lead VMware vSphere/vSAN/NSX-T initiatives, design scalable VMware environments (vSAN, NSX-T), manage storage solutions (PowerMax, XtremIO) and SAN, oversee certificate management, performance troubleshooting, and disaster recovery planning using SRM and Zerto. Handle capacity planning, resource management, and security compliance; configure and maintain Cisco UCS and fabric switches; develop automation scripts with PowerShell and Python; coordinate with third-party vendors; lead troubleshooting, disaster recovery strategies, and ongoing improvements; mentor team members and support converged/hyper-converged technologies (VxBlock, VxRail, SolidFire); architect storage including PowerMax, VMAX, XtremIO, Isilon, Pure Storage; participate in on-call rotations and travel up to ~25% domestically. Work from home available within commuting distance from Calhoun, GA office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or directly related field
- 6 years of combined experience managing complex infrastructure and virtualization solutions
- 6 years of VMware vSAN experience
- 6 years of VMware vSphere 8/7/6.7/6.5/6/5/4 experience
- 6 years of VMware HCX experience
- 6 years of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience
- 6 years of vSphere Replication experience
- 6 years of VMware vRealize Suite 8/7/6/5 experience
- 6 years of Horizon View experience
- 6 years of App Volumes experience
- 6 years of Vcenter/SSO experience
- 6 years of VMware Workspace One experience
- 6 years of vRealize Log Insight experience
- 6 years of High Availability (HA) experience
- 6 years of VMware Workspace One Access experience
- 6 years of VMware NSX-T/NSX-V – Migrations to NSX
- 6 years of Micro Segmentation
- 6 years of NSX Routing and Switching/Gateways
- 6 years of VMware Fault Tolerance (FT)
- 6 years of DRS experience
- 6 years of vRealize Operations (Vrops)
- 6 years of VMware Site Recovery Manager
- 5 years of combined experience in infrastructure engineering and infrastructure management
- 5 years of experience in EACH of the following Hyper-Converged Systems: VxRail with VMware VSAN, VxRack, Nutanix NX Series, and Nutanix Dell XC Series
- 5 years of experience in VxBlock 1000
- 5 years of experience in each of the following Servers: Cisco UCS B2xx, B4xx, C2xx, HP C7000, HPE Synergy, ProLiant servers, and DELL PowerEdge
- 5 years of experience in each of the following Storage Systems: PowerMax 2000, PowerMax 8000, Symmetrix VMAX 3, Symmetrix VMAX 2, XtremIO, Isilon F, Isilon H, Isilon A, NetApp FAS, and Pure storage
