Job Summary
Senior Industrial Engineer to join the Industrial Engineering Team at Cheshire, CT (onsite). Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives by identifying and implementing automation and digital manufacturing solutions to improve schedule performance, productivity, cost, flow, and first-time quality using Lean, data analytics, and continuous-improvement methods. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to identify, quantify, prioritize, and implement improvement opportunities across production processes and supporting systems. Evaluate production routings, work methods, process sequences, and standards to improve efficiency and maximize utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Support Solumina iSeries (MES) implementation, digital work instructions, routing execution, production traceability, and shop floor execution. Support equipment connectivity and real-time production visibility with digital solutions. Develop and recommend facility and equipment layouts and investments to meet product delivery and cost targets. Drive engagement, project closure, and ensure results are achieved.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Understanding of labor planning, process flow, capacity analysis, routing, standard work and bottleneck identification
- Experience with MES, ERP, or digital manufacturing systems; Solumina & SAP experience
- Experience with continuous improvement tools including Lean, CORE, Six Sigma, etc.
- Software / data science & analytics (Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, Python, R)
- Software Development & Automation (MS Power Apps, MS Power Automate, Ignition, etc.)
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
