SR Inbound Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee inbound operations on the terminal's dock, including unloading, managing forklift traffic, and supervising the picking and sorting of palletized freight. Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve designated production schedules by building loads based on available labor and freight levels. Monitor dock production, facility key performance indicators, hours, and overtime while ensuring compliance with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards. Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers, and dock hands to maintain a safe work environment. Work Monday through Friday from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, averaging 50 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and any weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in managing a team
- Prior management, dispatch and dock experience
- Prior management, dispatch and dock experience in LTL trucking industry
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees
- High aptitude for technology
- Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
- Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work 50 hours/week average
- Ability to work any shift including nights and/or weekends and in any weather condition
- Capability to work under tight time constraints in a high-pressure environment with multiple priorities
