Job Summary
SR Inbound Supervisor oversees outbound operations for a designated section of the terminal dock, including loading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight sorting; manages up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules; utilizes independent judgement to build loads based on labor and freight levels; ensures proper loading of carriers by monitoring cube and weight; provides leadership and accountability to drivers and dock staff; monitors dock production and KPI goals; ensures a safe work environment compliant with DOT/OSHA standards; supports a culture of operational excellence within Central Transport.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in managing a team, preferably in transportation operations
- Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking industry
- Must be willing to work 50 hours/week average
- Must be able to work nights and/or weekends and in any weather condition
- Experience supervising outbound operations and coordinating forklift traffic
- Strong written, listening and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA standards
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
